The House
Originally called Tilson Place when it was built in 1901 by Judge Robert Myers, The Castle is a distinct local landmark constructed with a Tyndalstone foundation and yellow brick.
The Castle has 6000 square feet of elegant living space on 2 1/2 floors and a smaller home to the north attached by an underground passage.
A prime example of the Queen Anne style, The Castle was designated a Municipal Heritage site in 1986. It was opened as a bed and breakfast in 1994 after a meticulous renovation by Dr.and Mrs. Richard Northcott.
Nestled in a temperate valley in an all-season resort town, trees and gardens shelter wild birds while the Little Saskatchewan river (which can be fished) flows past the rear of the one acre property. The house features beautiful collections of comtemperary art, antique furnishings, quilts, oriental carpets, a large Conservatory and a leaded glass Music Room.
The Castle is in a very quiet residential neighborhood, only a few minutes walk from the center of this community of 3000.
